Bio

The band was founded by our former Musical Director, Will Dunlop, in 2014.   Following Will's retirement from the band, the committee is delighted to announce that Esther Knight has accepted the challenge of becoming the band's Musical Director.  Esther has a broad musical knowledge, sense of purpose and enthusiasm that will give the band the impetus it needs to continue to develop and thrive.  The band maintains a strong social and community-based ethos whilst always striving to develop its musical style and ability.  The band carries out numerous 'fee paid' gigs but also looks to support local charity events when possible.  The ukulele is a difficult instrument to take too seriously so having fun with our music is important to the band members and we hope this comes over to our audiences.  If our audiences have fun singing along then we get to go home happy too.
